Welcome to the University of New Mexico, Medical-Legal Alliance for Children, of the UNM Clinical Law Programs.

Here you will find information about legal skills developed for clinical law practice, as well as information related to specific legal topics. An array of legal skills stressed as part of clinical law education and practice are presented within the context of both, understanding general practice concepts and working as part of a collaborative effort to address the non-biological needs of children. Similarly, special topics address legal areas frequently encountered in the context of providing legal assistance to caregivers and benefiting children’s health and well being.

The Medical-Legal Alliance of Children is a member of the National Center for Medical–Legal Partnership, a national network of similar efforts across the United States.
